Wagering requirement calculator

A bonus with a 35× wagering requirement has to be played through many times before it can be withdrawn. This works out how much that is, how many spins it takes at your bet, and what playing it through costs on average at a slot's published RTP.

These are long-run averages. Most attempts to clear a bonus end with the balance gone before the requirement is met, especially on high-volatility slots, and a few end well above the average. Real terms also matter more than this calculator can show: maximum bet rules, excluded games, time limits, win caps and whether the deposit is locked. Read them before you accept a bonus.

How wagering requirements work

The requirement is a multiple of the bonus (sometimes of the bonus plus the deposit) that you must bet in total before the bonus balance turns into withdrawable money. A $100 bonus at 35× means $3,500 of bets. If slots only count 50% toward the requirement, it takes $7,000 of slot bets.

Every bet costs (1 − RTP) of its size on average, so the expected cost of clearing is the total wagered times the house edge. At 96% RTP, $3,500 of bets costs about $140 on average, which is more than the $100 bonus. A higher-RTP game lowers that cost: compare games with the RTP checker or browse the highest-RTP slots.
