What is Stake Engine?
Engine (formerly Stake Engine, at engine.io) is a platform where independent studios build slots and publish them to Stake and other casinos. Right now it hosts 7,013 games from 1,927 studios, from one-person teams to established developers.
What makes it unusual is that every game publishes its full math. Each mode of each game has a public outcome table: every result the mode can produce, what it pays and how likely it is. That's why a site like this can show exact RTP and max-win odds per mode, instead of repeating the figure on a game's info screen.

How an Engine slot works
A studio designs the game and generates its outcomes ahead of time: often millions of possible rounds for each mode, each with a payout and a weight. The studio uploads those tables; the game client only shows the animation for whichever result is picked.
When you play, the round's result is chosen from that table using a server seed, your client seed and a counter (the nonce). That's the provably fair part: once the server seed is revealed, anyone can replay the pick and check it came from the published table.
Modes: base spins, boosted spins and bonus buys
Most Engine slots have several modes. A base spin costs 1× your bet. Boosted spins cost a bit more (an "ante" at 1.25× to 10×, say) and change the odds. Bonus buys cost 20× or more and start a feature straight away. Each mode has its own table and therefore its own RTP, max win and odds, and on Engine all of them are public.
Reading the numbers
- RTP: the share of what you wager that a mode pays back over the very long run. What RTP means.
- Max win odds: how many rounds it takes, on average, for the top payout to appear once. Max win odds explained.
- Volatility: how spread out results are. We use each game's base-mode standard deviation. Slot volatility.
- Expected cost: cost × (1 − RTP), the average loss per round. Every mode returns less than it costs over time.
Where this site's data comes from
Game math comes from the Engine fairness API, which publishes every game's versions, modes and outcome tables. Popularity, release dates and platform totals come from Engine Insights. We refresh both daily. RTP Guide is independent and not affiliated with Stake or Engine.

Frequently asked
Is Stake Engine the same as Stake?
No. Engine is the platform that independent studios use to build and publish games; Stake is one of the casinos that offers those games. This site is independent of both.
Who makes Stake Engine slots?
Independent studios. Each game page here names its studio, and the studios list ranks them by 30-day turnover.
What RTP do Stake Engine slots have?
It varies by game and by mode. Each mode's outcome table is public, so the exact figure can be checked. The RTP checker shows every mode of every game.
Are Stake Engine games provably fair?
Yes. Each round is picked from the published table using a server seed, a client seed and a nonce, and can be replayed once the server seed is revealed. How it works.
